Ignorance is Bliss!!

Some Animals close their eyes when there is danger close by and they think they are safe, when i heard this i couldnt help but think how much this applies to us Humans.... We have come so far havent we? we should be proud of ourselves, we have created civilizations, we have rules we live by, life has become so much more precious now..... we spend billions for research and we have found cures for so many diseases..... The world is a better place now aint it??

Well that maybe true for all of living in the US and some other "developed" countries but when hear of all the pain and suffering in some of the other places around the world i think to myelf, is the world really a better place??

I came across this one video which kinda rocked my world... I CANNOT imagine myself in the shows of those Iraqis he is referring to... I condemn all the innocent killings... the innocent Americans did not deserve to die, the people who killed them should be caught and given capital punishment... but the innocent people dont deserve to be killed because we presume they might be involved in some way... "Innocent until proven guilty" isnt that the law of the land?? why cant it apply to everyone?

See this video and ull know what im talking about here.... The Iraqis are humans too but somehow we have stopped looking at them as humans... we care so much about other lives around us but when it comes to these people why do we want them dead??

Think about this:

Number of Americans killed as a result of terrorist action in the 9/11 attacks: 2,948

Number of Americans killed as a result of President Bush's illegal invasion of Iraq: 2,084

Number of Iraqis involved in 9/11 attacks: 0

Number of Iraqi civilians killed as a result of President Bush's illegal invasion of Iraq: 22,111

Iraq Veteran Speaks Out On War Crimes

Testimony from a former U.S. Army Ranger

Jessie Macbeth, a Former Army Ranger and Iraq War Veteran Tells All

This 20 minute interview will change how you view the U.S. occupation of Iraq forever. I cannot possibly recommend this more highly. An Iraq war veteran tells of atrocities he and other fellow-soldiers committed reguarly while in Iraq. I have never seen this level of honesty from a U.S. soldier who directly participated in the slaughtering of Iraqis.

Excerpts:

"When we were doing the night raids in the houses, we would pull people out and have them all on their knees and zip-tied. We would ask the man of the house questions. If he didn't answer the way we liked, we would shoot his youngest kid in the head. We would keep going, this was our interrogation. He could be innocent. He could be just an average Joe trying to support his family. If he didn't give us a satisfactory answer, we'd start killing off his family until he told us something. If he didn't know anything, I guess he was SOL."

and

"For not speaking out, I feel like I'm betraying my battle-buddies that died."
